Acquisition is designed to bring artificial intelligence to the Salesforce analytics cloud.

Salesforce has agreed to acquire analytics startup BeyondCore. Terms of the deal were not disclosed by either company. BeyondCore, selected as a “visionary” in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Business Intelligence and Analytics Platforms in 2016, provides an automated, one-click enterprise analytics tool with “smart pattern discovery.” The company stated that the tool, can evaluate all possible combinations within a data set and uncover all insights. It then breaks the data down for the user, providing key insights, recommended actions and predictions on the results of those actions. The tool is already integrated with the Salesforce platform, but the acquisition opens the door to further expansion.

“At Salesforce, BeyondCore will be uniquely positioned to further magnify our impact on the world of analytics as part of the Analytics Cloud, extending smart data discovery and advanced analytics capabilities across the entire Salesforce Customer Success Platform,” said BeyondCore CEO Arijit Sengupta in a blog post.

Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff said in a tweet that the acquisition’s goal is to enhance the company’s artificial intelligence capabilities in the analytics cloud.

According to InformationWeek, BeyondCore’s algorithms combine machine learning and regression analysis. It also automates statistical analysis by only highlighting what it feels are important findings and explaining why they are statistically relevant.
