Canonical, the publisher of Ubuntu, announced Charmed Kubeflow 1.6, an end-to-end MLOps platform with optimized complex model training capabilities. Charmed Kubeflow is Canonical’s enterprise-ready distribution of Kubeflow, an open-source machine learning toolkit designed for use with Kubernetes. The platform’s components use charms, which are Kubernetes operators that automate maintenance and security operations. Charms accelerate workload deployment, allowing data scientists to take models to market more efficiently.
BMC announced new cloud data services and open-source integrations for Control-M, its application and data workflow orchestration platform. These new capabilities provide IT operations the ability to enable secure, automated self-service experiences for non-IT business partners. These new and updated capabilities include:
- Strategic integrations with Apache Airflow, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google Cloud.
- Enhanced Managed File Transfer and data orchestration features to help organizations seamlessly transfer files to and from cloud storage solutions with greater flexibility.
- Advanced functionality and self-service interfaces to improve collaboration between IT operations, developers, data engineers, and business users.
Virtana announced a new Kubernetes strategy that will deliver container support across the full portfolio of Virtana Platform solutions. The first deliverable of this strategy is a rightsizing feature for container environments through Virtana Platform’s cloud cost optimization solution. With this capability, Virtana Platform users will have access to container rightsizing recommendations alongside ones for traditional compute — all within the Costs Savings Opportunities dashboard of Virtana Platform.
MariaDB and Qlik announced a collaboration to enable customer data migrations from legacy database architectures to MariaDB’s database solutions. Using Qlik’s Data Integration platform, customers can easily migrate data from any legacy database source, such as Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server, to MariaDB Enterprise Server, MariaDB Xpand distributed SQL database, or MariaDB SkySQL cloud database service. The collaboration ensures high availability, scalability, continuous integration, and replication of synced data across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud in a few, simple steps.
UiPath announced it has strengthened its partnership with Snowflake by launching a new bi-directional integration that will extend the value of automation across the enterprise. With this new bi-directional integration, joint customers can automate the data pipeline, broaden workflows with data from multiple sources, and enrich their data. Specifically, by leveraging the Snowflake Data Cloud, UiPath robots can quickly connect data directly to business processes in the Data Cloud without using complex code, speeding up time to value.
Denodo announced two new subscriptions of its Denodo Platform that are designed to help mid-market businesses to start with a small departmental use case and then expand to multiple use cases within the company. Available on leading cloud marketplaces, the new subscriptions (Denodo Professional and Denodo Standard) allow organizations to purchase them directly from their cloud marketplace of choice (AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform). With these two new offerings, Denodo’s mid-market customers can easily enable popular use cases such as customer 360, BI reporting for Smart Analytics, Data-as-a-Service, and Marketing Analytics.

SecurityBridge announced the full integration of its SAP Security Platform with the Microsoft Sentinel cloud-native Security Information and Event Manager (SIEM) platform and its membership to MISA (The Microsoft Intelligent Security Association). SecurityBridge was nominated to MISA because of the integration of its SAP Controller to the Microsoft Sentinel dashboard. SecurityBridge is a Smart Data Adapter that simplifies security monitoring of critical and highly specific business applications. The complete integration gives Microsoft users a single-pane-of-glass view for configuration errors, code vulnerabilities, and other threats against SAP products, enabling better insight into a company’s accurate security posture.
Privacera announced the availability of its AWS Lake Formation integration in private preview. The solution offers complete data governance automation and fine-grained data access for AWS services, including Amazon S3, Amazon Redshift, and Amazon RDS. With this new integration, organizations will be able to accelerate their migration to the cloud by leveraging Privacera to securely manage data access policies within a single governance platform across diverse on-premises and cloud data sources.
Rossum announced new email automation capabilities that help customers manage and proactively respond to a myriad of document communication tasks. These new capabilities make it possible to automate notifications and alerts, route payment and invoice information, acknowledge receipts, and provide status and follow-up updates, all automated via email. The new release solves the common back-and-forth communications problem by automating email communications based on business rules like missing attributes or wrong values early in the process.
Apica Systems announced that it has achieved two milestones in data security: ISO27001 security certification and SOC2 compliance. ISO27001 security certification is indicative of an organization’s commitment to implement, maintain, and evolve an information security system. SOC 2 is a voluntary compliance standard for service organizations, developed by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), which specifies how organizations should manage customer data. Together the certification and meeting SOC2 compliance demonstrates the company’s commitment to protecting customer data in accordance with the security standards of Fortune 500 companies.

Micro Focus announced the availability of its Enterprise Suite for application modernization on Google Cloud Marketplace. With this new Marketplace availability, organizations can more quickly deploy an enterprise-grade mainframe infrastructure solution on Google Cloud as part of continuous modernization and digital transformation initiatives. The announcement brings together Micro Focus’ application modernization capabilities with the security, availability, scalability, and administration features Google Cloud offers as well as Google Compute Engine (GCE) services.
SQream and Hitachi Vantara are collaborating to offer solutions that will enable large organizations to better utilize analytic systems like Hadoop-Hive, Cloudera, and Teradata to accelerate critical insights and run AI/ML models over even the largest data. The solutions use SQream’s data acceleration platform and Hitachi Vantara’s object storage offerings. Specifically, SQream’s Data Acceleration Platform integrates with Hitachi Content Software for File, a highly parallel NVMe-based file system and Hitachi Content Platform (HCP) object storage.
ThinkData Works has launched its catalog and enrichment services on Google Cloud Marketplace, providing customers with reduced time-to-value and access to Google Cloud’s leading AI and data analytics capabilities. The partnership builds on a growing ecosystem of data and management tools available to customers of both organizations.
OrionVM announced the addition of technology partner Blaize to create a new AI-as-a-Service (AIaaS) offering. The partnership will empower organizations across multiple industries to launch their AI solutions more quickly and efficiently, including machine learning across vast data sets. Under the agreement, both companies’ global sales teams will sell Blaize’s AI applications, enabled and powered by OrionVM’s optimized cloud platform.
Exabel announced a partnership with Helios to deliver insights capability for Helios’ investment research clients. The insights platform, to be named ‘Comprehend: Composites,’ will provide hedge funds and asset managers with curated insights based on Helios’s acoustic analysis technology. Comprehend: Composites is part of Exabel’s growing partnership program, in which data vendors can use the platform to discover insights in their datasets and deliver a new insights product to a broad audience of buyers.
Iterate.ai announced it has joined NVIDIA Inception, a program designed to nurture startups revolutionizing industries with technology advancements. Iterate.ai is focused on developing AI and IoT applications through its rapid development low-code platform called Interplay. NVIDIA Inception will allow Iterate to drive deeper into the enterprise with low-code applications that leverage the program’s wealth of datasets, software development kits, enterprise customers, and further development on GPU-based complex AI training.
Blattner Technologies has acquired BOSS AI as a wholly owned subsidiary. BOSS AI is a data technology company made up of AI industry experts and data scientists who have developed a proprietary Federated Machine Learning solution. Blattner Technologies will leverage the capabilities BOSS AI can bring to support organizations through the maturation of data and analytics to help customers move from basic data management and analytics to operationalizing AI/ML and enabling preemptive and predictive analytics throughout an organization.
Alation announced it has achieved Amazon Web Services (AWS) Data and Analytics Competency in the data governance and security category. This competency recognizes that Alation has demonstrated success in helping customers evaluate and use the tools and best practices for collecting, storing, governing, and analyzing data at any scale. In addition to achieving AWS Data and Analytics Competency status, Alation is an AWS ISV Accelerate Partner Program participant, and its services are available in AWS Marketplace.
Senet and CalChip Connect announced a partnership to bring Senet-compatible LoRaWAN gateways and sensor-enabled end devices to market through the CalChip Connect e-commerce platform. The partnership allows Senet Radio Access Network (RAN) partners, vertical market solution providers, and end customers to shorten their deployment times and accelerate a return on investment, knowing they are working with LoRaWAN hardware and network connectivity that has been pre-qualified to be interoperable.
PwC Germany and Monitaur have formed a strategic partnership to advance AI governance to meet the demands of European AI regulatory compliance. The European Commission drafted the EU AI Act to define a framework addressing the increasing number of risks and challenges in the area of artificial intelligence. To that end, both companies will collaborate to develop education and governance methodologies to create a more responsible, trustworthy, and ethical AI future.
