The Cloud Security Alliance (CSA), the organization dedicated to defining standards, certifications, and best practices to help ensure a secure cloud computing environment, announced the launch of the AI Safety Initiative in partnership with Amazon, Anthropic, Google, Microsoft, and OpenAI. The Initiative is dedicated to developing and openly sharing guidelines for AI safety and security, initially concentrating on generative AI. It aims to provide customers with the tools, templates, and know-how for deploying AI in a safe, ethical, and compliant manner. Its goal is to reduce risks and amplify the positive impact of AI across all sectors.

HiveMQ announced the general availability of the HiveMQ Enterprise Data Lake Extension to enable MQTT data integration into data lakes. Building data models for machine learning, AI, and other advanced analytics initiatives requires large volumes of IoT data. To that end, the HiveMQ Enterprise Data Lake Extension helps companies move that data with seamless integration to data lakes on Amazon, Google, Azure, Databricks, and other providers. Integrating IoT data into the data warehouse empowers businesses to extract valuable insights for analytics, data engineering, and machine learning, driving impactful AI use cases.

Franz announced AllegroGraph 8.0, a Neuro-Symbolic AI Platform that incorporates Large Language Model (LLM) components directly into SPARQL along with vector generation and vector storage for a comprehensive AI Knowledge Graph solution. AllegroGraph 8.0 combines machine learning (statistical AI) with knowledge and reasoning (symbolic AI) capabilities. This combination enables AllegroGraph to solve complex problems that require reasoning and learning efficiently with less data, thereby expanding applicability across a broad array of tasks. The blending of machine learning and reasoning in the solution also produces decisions that are understandable to humans and explainable.

Oracle announced that the first Oracle Database@Azure service is now generally available in the Microsoft Azure East US region. The new Oracle Database@Azure service delivers all the performance, scale, and workload availability advantages of the Oracle Database, including Real Application Clusters and built-in security, alongside best-in-class Azure services, such as the Azure OpenAI Service for generative AI applications. Oracle will operate and manage Oracle Exadata Database Service, the first of several planned Oracle database services to run on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) in Azure datacenters.

Salesforce announced significant updates to its Einstein 1 Platform, adding the Data Cloud Vector Database and Einstein Copilot Search. Data Cloud Vector Database enables AI, automation, and analytics for improved decision-making and customer insights across all Salesforce CRM applications. Data Cloud will also power Einstein Copilot Search — also announced at the same time — enhancing Einstein Copilot, Salesforce’s generative AI assistant, with AI search capabilities that use all business data to deliver more precise information conveniently in the flow of work.

Accelario announced new enhancements to the Accelario Test Data Management platform that make it easier than ever for DevOps teams to transition to a “shift left testing” approach. The Accelario TDM platform now offers tighter integration with Amazon Relational Database Services (RDS), offering seamless support for both Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) test databases.

Cerebras Systems and Petuum, in partnership with MBZUAI, launched CrystalCoder, a new 7-billion parameter model designed for English language and coding tasks. Trained on Condor Galaxy 1, the AI supercomputer built by G42 and Cerebras, CrystalCoder-7B has been released under the new reproducible LLM360 methodology that promotes open source and transparent, responsible use. CrystalCoder and the LLM360 release methodology are available now on Hugging Face.

Digibee announced the availability of an AI-powered integration importing tool. The integration importing tool imports complete integration flows from other vendors and seamlessly converts them into integration flows that the Digibee Integration Platform can execute, modify, and maintain. The tool is initially available for MuleSoft migrations to Digibee and will support migrations to Digibee from other legacy integration platforms soon. 

Lenovo announced it has expanded its hybrid cloud platform for AI with new ThinkAgile hyper-converged solutions and ThinkSystem servers that advance cloud deployment, hybrid connectivity, and AI capabilities, powered by the next generation of Intel Xeon Scalable Processors. The new AI-ready platform delivers improved performance and the latest accelerators as a next step for delivering a dynamic hybrid AI approach across public, private, and foundational models to enable AI for all.

Lightning AI, the company behind PyTorch Lightning, announced the introduction of Lightning AI Studios, a next-generation development paradigm for AI. Lightning Studios are cloud-based virtual environments where AI researchers and developers can code on the browser or from their laptops to develop and ship AI together.

Ocient announced the release of OcientGeo, a suite of spatial database features for enhanced spatiotemporal query performance and analytics at scale. Embedded within the Ocient Hyperscale Data Warehouse (OHDW), OcientGeo brings high-resolution analysis, a large library of geospatial functions, and a spatial index optimized for objects on land, air, or water to use cases across government, automotive, telecom, and emerging industries leveraging geospatial data types.

Precisely announced that its Precisely Data Integrity Suite is Powered by Snowflake. Joint customers can leverage the Precisely Data Integrity Suite for access to data that is accurate, consistent, and full of rich context – without having to move data from their cloud environment. Building the Data Integrity Suite to run on the Snowflake Data Cloud allows users to leverage the scalability, flexibility, and performance of Snowflake’s unified platform.

Reveille Software (Reveille) announced the release of its Reveille 10 update. The release bridges the management gap for organizations by expanding intelligent automation programs, providing ECM operations visibility, and accelerating automated issue recovery processes. The Reveille 10 update introduces a range of features, including PostgreSQL Open Source Database Support, Hyland OnBase RESTful Application Management, and JIRA Issue Tracking Integration.

ScaleOut Software announces the open-source release of its digital twin APIs and development workbench for its ScaleOut Digital Twins hosting platform. Digital twin APIs allow developers to build powerful applications for real-time monitoring and simulating large systems. The workbench enables fast development and testing of digital twin applications before deployment. ScaleOut Software is releasing these components as open source under the Apache 2.0 license.

Striim announced its integration with Microsoft Fabric, a new data analytics platform. Striim will provide seamless, low-latency, open-format data integration and streaming service into Microsoft Fabric, helping organizations harness data for real-time analytics and AI-driven insights.

Quest Software announced the launch of Foglight Cloud, a new managed monitoring and optimization platform built on top of the Foglight suite. The solution helps businesses manage, monitor, and control their data and infrastructure. To that end, Foglight Cloud harnesses the power of its existing Foglight suite (including Foglight for Databases and Foglight Evolve) to give teams the ability to reduce complexity across their entire data estate within cloud and hybrid environments.

Zscaler announced the availability of Business Insights, which enables organizations to curtail SaaS sprawl. Additionally, Zscaler unveiled several enhancements to its wider Business Analytics portfolio that include new AI-powered enhancements within its Zscaler Risk360 and Zscaler Digital Experience Monitoring (ZDX) product offerings.
