Converged Data Platform Provider MapR Technologies, yesterday announced the launch of an elite premier program for system integrators. The new program is touted as recognizing the expertise of qualified system integrators and designates those partners to work with MapR customers on a variety of big data projects.
“We are very excited to be part of the Elite Premier program, as we are seeing growing interest across our customer base for the unique capabilities of the MapR Converged Data Platform,” said John Bender, senior vice president, RCG Global Services. “We have built specific solutions for use cases in retail and are investing in developing offerings for other verticals such as oil and gas.”
Tools for big data and MapR
MapR says the Elite Premier program is designed to accommodate the sharp increase in partner enrollment in the MapR Converge Partners program launched last year. It is meant to give systems integrators the tools they need to develop their big data practice around the MapR Converged Data Platform.

According to the company, benefits of the new program include the following:
