IOP Publishing (IOPP) is launching a series of open access journals dedicated to the application and development of machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) for the sciences. The new multidisciplinary Machine Learning series will collectively cover applications of ML and AI across the physical sciences, engineering, biomedicine and health, and environmental and earth science.

Building on the successful launch of Machine Learning: Science and Technology in 2019, IOPP’s Machine Learning series will expand to include three new journals: Machine Learning: Health, Machine Learning: Earth, and Machine Learning: Engineering. The new journals will open for submissions later this year.

With enhancements to existing AI summarization features, CallMiner empowers organizations with insights after every interaction, improving decision-making and strategy execution enterprise wide. Further, a new, automated follow-up actions feature, based on the AI-based summaries, makes it possible to initiate workflow tasks for contact center agents.

CARTO announced the launch of CARTO AI Agents in private preview. AI Agents enable decision-makers to address vital spatial questions quickly, democratizing access to spatial analytics and driving improved decision-making. Leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs), AI Agents provide a more intuitive, conversational interface, allowing users of all technical backgrounds to navigate and analyze complex spatial data easily.

Cloud Canaries launched and introduced Intelligent Canaries, which helps software engineering and delivery teams practicing DevOps proactively detect, predict, and autonomously resolve system issues before they impact operations. Intelligent Canaries are lightweight agents that detect issues, safeguard change and risk management, and provide real-time performance monitoring and precise problem resolution. They allow software developers and engineering teams to innovate while empowering IT managers to transform observability into a value-based initiative.

DataOps.live announced that it has achieved the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Data and Analytics Competency status. The designation recognizes that DataOps.live has demonstrated deep AWS technical expertise and proven customer success in helping its customers to identify the best tools and processes for collecting, storing, and analyzing data utilizing various AWS services.

Esri announced an expanded collaboration with Microsoft to integrate spatial analytics technology with Fabric, Microsoft’s unified analytics SaaS platform. By integrating Esri technologies, data experts can seamlessly use Esri’s advanced spatial analytics tools and visualizations within Microsoft Fabric. This results in powerful spatial analytics easily shared across organizational tools like Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Esri’s ArcGIS environment.

Forwrd.ai announced that the company acquired LoudnClear.ai to broaden its product offering of no code data science automation for RevOps. With the acquisition of LoudnClear.ai, Forwrd.ai adds data enrichment capabilities that unlock new customer signals to fuel its predictive models to support customer success and support use cases. Additionally, with the acquisition, Forwrd.ai adds new integrations to customer support platforms such as Salesforce Service Cloud, Zendesk, Intercom and others.

Kin + Carta announced it has achieved the Analytics on Microsoft Azure specialization, validating their deep expertise in planning and delivering transformative and secure analytical solutions at an enterprise scale. This specialization confirms the company’s ability to craft tailored Microsoft analytics solutions, leveraging powerful tools like Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Databricks.

Kore.ai announced GALE—Generative AI and LLM Platform for Enterprises. GALE is a dedicated GenAI application platform that addresses businesses’ need to rapidly develop and deploy advanced AI applications and scale them in an enterprise environment. With a no-code toolset and intuitive visual interface, GALE offers enterprises an efficient way to experiment with multiple models and prompts and build and deploy AI agents for the first time, making it easy for developers without specialized AI talent.

Open Innovation AI and Nscale announced a strategic partnership designed to deliver AI Cloud services and optimized AI workloads at scale to the global market. This alliance will combine Nscale’s GPU infrastructure with Open Innovation AI’s end-to-end AI platform to deliver optimized, scalable, and efficient AI solutions. The partnership aims to enhance the performance, scalability, and accessibility of AI workloads while prioritizing sustainability.

OpenText announced the release of Cloud Editions 24.3 (CE 24.3), which features new technology innovations from its OpenText Aviator Portfolio. The enhancements found in this release will optimize data performance and integrate advanced AI capabilities, offering superior and simplified results for managing information in the cloud. New updates across OpenText’s Business Cloud and Business AI include OpenText DevOps Aviator, which accelerates application delivery by using testing bots to automatically generate codeless tests; OpenText Fortify Aviator, which automates the manual tasks of auditing and remediating SAST (Static Application Security Testing) vulnerabilities; and OpenText Extended ECM, which expands its collaborative content capabilities.

Qlik announced the general availability of Qlik Talend Cloud, an integrated solution designed to enhance data trust and accessibility for AI value creation at scale. Underpinned by trusted Qlik and Talend technologies, Qlik Talend Cloud is designed to facilitate responsible enterprise AI adoption. Qlik Talend Cloud delivers AI-augmented data integration capabilities from no-code to pro-code, enabling businesses to maintain data integrity and accelerate AI adoption at all levels.

Salesforce announced Einstein Service Agent, Salesforce’s first fully autonomous AI agent. Einstein Service Agent understands and acts on a broad range of service issues without preprogrammed scenarios, helping make customer service far more efficient. Unlike traditional chatbots — which can only handle specific queries that have been explicitly programmed into their system and don’t understand context or nuance — Einstein Service Agent is intelligent and dynamic. Built on the Einstein 1 Platform, the Einstein Service Agent interacts with large language models (LLMs) by analyzing the full context of the customer’s message and then autonomously determining the next actions to take.

Teradata announced the new integration of the DataRobot AI Platform with Teradata VantageCloud and ClearScape Analytics. The integration between Teradata and DataRobot will give enterprise customers the ability to import and operationalize DataRobot’s AI models at scale inside the VantageCloud analytics and data platform — enabling them to unlock data and results faster and accelerate AI innovation. This new functionality is available through ClearScape Analytics’ Bring Your Own Model (BYOM) capability.
