PwC US announced plans to invest $1B over the next three years to expand and scale its artificial intelligence (AI) offerings and help clients reimagine their businesses using generative AI. The investment features a relationship with Microsoft, creating scalable offerings using OpenAI’s GPT-4/ChatGPT and Microsoft’s Azure OpenAI Service.

Deloitte unveiled Quartz AI, a suite of two new cross-industry AI service offerings to help clients unlock the transformative value of AI to solve key business challenges such as enhancing customer experiences, optimizing operations, and launching innovative businesses in new markets. Built on the NVIDIA AI and NVIDIA Omniverse platforms, the new solutions include Deloitte Compass AI for logistics and route optimization and Deloitte Frontline AI for retail, quick-service restaurants, and customer service.

Innovate UK, the UK’s national innovation agency, has unveiled BridgeAI, a new program that aims to drive growth and competitiveness in the UK economy through the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). The £100m investment comes partly from Innovate UK & the Technologies Mission Fund (TMF), launched by HMG/UKRI, and will bring together businesses from priority sectors with AI experts and developers to foster an AI innovation network in the UK.

BMC announced solutions that help enterprise customers harness AI with the BMC Helix Control-M platform, the Control-M solution, the BMC AMI offerings, and the BMC Helix Operations Management platform to gain deeper insights from their data for faster innovation across complex hybrid IT environments. Additionally, with BMC Helix available in the Google Cloud Marketplace, companies can connect and orchestrate data from the mainframe to cloud to improve the customer, partner, and employee experience.

Airbyte announced the public launch of the Airbyte API. Now, engineers can manage large deployments efficiently, integrate Airbyte Cloud with other tools in the modern data stack, and leverage Airbyte functionality to automate data movement.

Buildings IOT has made its OAP (Ontology Alignment Project) available as open source. The open-sourced OAP facilitates engagement with partners, enabling the company’s customers or value-added resellers (VARs) to view the data and make any needed additions directly into the source code.

CAST has announced the introduction of new capabilities that automatically recommend priority actions to take across application portfolios to optimize software maintenance costs and efficiency. The new release also features additional portfolio governance capabilities, including a proprietary component function that enables organizations to automatically identify, catalog, and set policies for “in-house” components across a portfolio.

Caveonix announced Caveonix Cloud 5.0,its fifth-generation offering designed to provide continuous protection of applications built on containers, cloud-native services, and traditional three-tiered architecture. The unified platform provides a fully integrated eGRC and Cloud Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) with Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM), and Cloud Workload Protection Platform (CWPP). 

Clockwork Systems announced the launch of its Cloud Deluxe platform. The platform addresses several technical challenges that impede performance and drive-up costs for customer-facing applications and AI/ML workloads. It offers a suite of software tools that reduce latency, eliminates almost all packet drops, and optimize network performance to lower costs and improve user experience.

Digital.ai unveiled Corbett, the latest release of its AI-powered DevOps platform, to enable organizations to deliver applications with better customer experiences while improving productivity for software development teams. Corbett features enhanced intelligence capabilities that enable teams and organizations, not just individuals, to better leverage the power of AI to deliver better software.

EnterpriseDB (“EDB”) announced its EDB Guaranteed Postgres Migration program to help qualifying organizations easily migrate from Oracle databases to Postgres. The program empowers enterprises to break free from the constraints of legacy database providers and unlock the unparalleled performance, scalability, security, and cost-saving benefits of Postgres.

Immuta announced new vulnerability risk assessment and dynamic query classification capabilities for the Immuta Data Security Platform. These new features enable customers to promptly identify and prioritize security gaps, protecting sensitive data based on the context and sensitivity levels. When combined with Immuta’s data discovery and security features, these capabilities make Immuta a well-suited solution for Data Security Posture Management (DSPM).

InfluxData announced expanded time series capabilities across its product portfolio with the release of InfluxDB 3.0, its rebuilt database and storage engine for time series analytics. InfluxDB 3.0 is available today in InfluxData’s cloud products, including InfluxDB Cloud Dedicated. InfluxData also announced InfluxDB 3.0 Clustered and InfluxDB 3.0 Edge to give developers next-gen time series capabilities in a self-managed database.

Mezmo announced a free trial and a free community plan for Mezmo Telemetry Pipeline. Companies can now unlock the power of their data and achieve the cost savings and control benefits of a telemetry pipeline — without the upfront investment.

NTT DATA unveiled Launch by NTT DATA to help organizations create digital experiences that drive customer engagement and growth. The offering integrates recent acquisitions of Nexient, Postlight, Umvel, and Vectorform with core NTT DATA capabilities and its global reach.

OpenText announced OpenText Cloud Editions (CE) 23.2 to help customers accelerate their cloud-based digital transformation. With this release, OpenText is now offering a full suite of Public Cloud multi-tenant SaaS solutions in content management, cybersecurity, service management, and application delivery.

Provectus announced the v0.12 release of its First Open-Source Data Discovery (ODD) and Observability Platform. Building on the success of its previous release, the team has further refined data discovery and data observability by introducing such advanced features as external enums, dataset schema diff, lineage for entities within a Data Entity Group, and an integration wizard.

Smartling announced the introduction of patent-pending technology that brings human-quality machine translation closer to reality. With the help of Smartling’s AI technology, enterprises can now achieve breakthrough improvements in translation quality. This includes implementing style guidelines, brand voice, locale-specific conventions, grammatically accurate terminology handling, and the proper use of linguistic gender preferences in translations.

Sumo Logic announced several native innovations across the Sumo Logic platform to give security analysts better visibility to solve new use cases and enable coordinated defense. The new benefits include native UEBA threat detection for greater transparency and increased flexibility, efficient automation and enrichment from Cloud SOAR, and ML-powered detection and investigation.

Torq introduced an enterprise-grade security hyperautomation platform capable of automating complex security infrastructures at dramatic scale. Torq provides the ability to automate the entirety of workflows and processes across the entirety of modern enterprise security organizations to deliver cybersecurity protection. The platform also offers GPT AI-based analytics capability for auto-analyzing cybersecurity incidents, making strategic responses, and informing immediate and long-term defensive measures.

Uptycs announced the ability to collect and analyze GitHub audit logs and user identity information from Okta and Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) to reveal suspicious behavior as the developer moves code in and out of repositories and into production. The result is an “early warning system” that allows security teams to identify and stop threat actors before they can access crown jewel data and services in the cloud.

Varonis Systems announced third-party application risk management. This new capability, offered as part of Varonis’ DSPM solution, gives security teams centralized visibility and control over apps with access to their corporate cloud data.

Yellow.ai announced the launch of its Dynamic Automation Platform (DAP), powered by generative AI, that enables enterprises to automate customer and employee experiences at scale with a reduction in operational costs. The company offers 100+ integrations, 150+ pre-built marketplace templates, and the recently launched Dynamic Conversation Designer, all of which can help companies go live with their deployments faster.

Yugabyte announced new features for YugabyteDB Managed, its fully managed database-as-a-service (DBaaS) offering of the YugabyteDB database. Key enhancements include greater security options and control with Customer Managed Keys (CMK), new AWS Graviton-based-instances to power a free tier of YugabyteDB Managed, an improved SLA of 99.99%, and a small tweak to the service’s look-and-feel.

Partnerships, collaborations, and more

Accenture and Google Cloud announced an expansion of their global partnership to help businesses better protect critical assets and strengthen security against persistent cyber threats. Together, they are providing the technology, trusted infrastructure, and security expertise organizations need to build resilient security programs and maintain confidence in their readiness.

DiffusionData, formerly known as Push Technology, announced that it is an ISO 27001:2013 certified provider whose Information Security Management System (ISMS) received third-party accreditation from Certification Europe, an internationally accredited certification body.

Peer Software announced it is collaborating with Wasabi Technologies to provide a combination of built-in failover/failback and disaster recovery protection that reduces or eliminates snapshot or backup window limitations to keep critical data current and easily accessible on Wasabi hot cloud storage.

Starburst announced a new integration with dbt Cloud. With the integration, which includes an enhanced adapter between dbt Cloud and Starburst’s SaaS offering, Starburst Galaxy, dbt users can now easily build data pipelines spanning multiple data sources on one central plane.

Virtualitics announced the launch of its AI Platform on the Snowflake Data Cloud. The new integration puts the power of intelligent exploration into the hands of data analysts, allowing them to use out-of-the-box AI to identify hidden connections in their data and explore insights in immersive, rich 3D visuals – all while accessing data directly from Snowflake’s single, integrated platform.

Wallaroo.AI and VMware announced a strategic agreement to provide a unified edge ML/artificial intelligence (AI) deployment and operations platform specifically tailored to the unique needs of global communications service providers (CSPs).
