Altair announced the rebrand of its entire data analytics and AI suite as Altair RapidMiner, uniting all data analytics technology into one platform. The Altair RapidMiner platform offers comprehensive end-to-end solutions from data ingestion and modeling to operationalization and visualization. Additionally, the platform is now available via Altair Units.
Lightning AI announced the general availability of PyTorch Lightning 2.0, the company’s flagship open-source AI framework used by more than 10,000 organizations to train and scale machine learning models. The new release introduces a stable API, offers a host of features with a smaller footprint, and is easier to read and debug. Lightning AI also unveiled Lightning Fabric to give users control over their training loop.
Intel contributed AI acceleration to PyTorch 2.0. Specifically, Intel provided Intel Extension for PyTorch, oneAPI Deep Neural Network Library (oneDNN), and additional support for Intel CPUs to enable developers to optimize inference and training performance for artificial intelligence (AI) in this release of PyTorch.

ngrok announced it has expanded free access to security features. Developers on ngrok’s free plan can now take advantage of webhook validation and the ability to restrict access to services with OAuth, the modern standard for securing access to APIs.

Zenoss announced it has released streaming data monitoring for Kubernetes. This real-time monitoring of Kubernetes streaming data is part of a broader set of initiatives focused on cloud-based monitoring, which enables visibility for ephemeral systems that cannot be effectively monitored by traditional monitoring tools.

data.world announced that it is partnering with dbt Labs to deliver deeper visibility into transformation and greater discoverability into data assets built with dbt.
