Microsoft announced advancements in cloud technologies for healthcare and life sciences with the general availability of Azure Health Data Services and updates to Microsoft Cloud for Healthcare. Combined with the recent close of its acquisition of Nuance Communications, Microsoft is positioned to amplify an organization’s ability to help others by leveraging trusted AI to address the biggest challenges transforming the future of healthcare for all.
Snowflake announced the launch of the Healthcare & Life Sciences Data Cloud. With the Snowflake Healthcare & Life Sciences Data Cloud, healthcare companies have a single, integrated, and cross-cloud data platform that eliminates technical and institutional data silos. This will enable organizations to securely centralize, integrate, and exchange critical and sensitive data at scale. Snowflake ensures high levels of data security and governance, and its built-in capabilities and extended partner network better allow companies to meet compliance requirements and satisfy industry regulations.
Databricks announced that it is extending its partner program with the launch of Brickbuilder Solutions. The data and AI solutions are designed by leading consulting companies to address industry-specific business requirements—from solving their analytics challenges to adopting more agile processes to breaking into new revenue streams. Currently, the partners include Avanade, Deloitte, Lovelytics, and Tredence. The solutions cut across many industries and domains, including retail and consumer goods, communication, media, entertainment, financial services, and healthcare and life sciences.
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is expanding with 11 new compute, networking, and storage services and capabilities that enable customers to run their workloads faster and more securely at lower costs. New offerings provide customers with flexible core infrastructure services, automatically optimizing resources to match application requirements and significantly reduce costs. Significant new services include container instances, AMD E4.Dense compute instances, and Oracle Cloud VMware Solution on AMD.
In other OCI news, BMC selected Oracle Exadata Cloud Service running on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to power its BMC Helix platform. Deploying the enterprise-grade BMC Helix ITSM portfolio on the flagship Oracle Exadata Cloud Service on OCI will deliver considerable performance advancements for enterprise customers. Additionally, OCI’s built-in security, high availability, and superior price-performance help customers with their automation and service management requirements without having to worry about capacity constraints.
In other BMC news, the company announced new operations management features and capabilities for the BMC Helix solution to increase decision-making accuracy and accelerate mean-time-to-repair (MTTR) through early detection, operational intelligence, and resource optimization. Specifically, the new BMC Helix Operations Management solution’s integration capabilities enable AIOps to consume service models that enhance situational and root cause analysis to quickly resolve event alerts and accelerate MTTR. And the BMC Helix Continuous Optimization solution uses advanced analytics that accurately forecast business driver growth with existing capacity.
Medallia announced it has launched Medallia Athena Studio, a new solution enabling organizations to create custom AI models and analytics for unstructured data without any coding. Athena Studio puts AI insights in the hands of data scientists and business users with easy but powerful low-code and no-code models. Using the solution, organizations can build custom models in a simple user interface or get started quickly with a range of pre-trained templates.
FutureAI has unveiled a new technology that enables its Brain Simulator technology to comprehend 3-D objects that exist in a 3-D environment. FutureAI’s artificial entity (known as “Sallie”) is now able to learn from a real-world environment and demonstrate a fundamental understanding of physical objects in reality, cause and effect, and the passage of time. The knowledge Sallie acquires can then be used for other applications, including personal assistants like Alexa and Siri, automated customer service systems, and robots like Boston Dynamics’ Spot.

MathWorks introduced Release 2022a of the MATLAB and Simulink product families. Release 2022a (R2022a) offers hundreds of new and updated features and functions in MATLAB and Simulink, along with fivenew products and 11 major updates. New capabilities in MATLAB include new apps and App Designer functions, graphics enhancements, and the ability to customize Live Editor tasks. Simulink updates enable users to streamline masking workflows with a new mask editor and accelerate simulation using a model reference local solver.
IBM today announced new AIOps solutions with IT management software company, Flexera to help organizations use automation to streamline IT asset management. The two companies have developed integrations with Turbonomic Application Resource Management (ARM) and Flexera One to help visualize IT assets from on-premises to SaaS to cloud. Businesses can then automate the manual tasks of software license compliance and resource optimization.
ServiceNow announced that Lightstep is extending beyond observability with the general availability of Lightstep Incident Response, which helps make organizations’ digital products and services more reliable and resilient. Lightstep Incident Response will enable developers and site reliability engineers (SRE) to reduce downtime by arming them with the service context and automation they need to effectively respond to incidents, such as a software bug, power outage, or down network.
DataRobot announced AI Cloud 8.0. Designed to help businesses better navigate unpredictable events and market conditions, AI Cloud 8.0 brings the ability to continuously optimize machine learning models to deliver top performance in production and connect with the broadest range of data to generate the most complete and accurate predictions.
Spectro Cloud announced its Palette Edge platform, extending the Palette Real Metal architecture released last year. The new platform offers comprehensive management of Kubernetes on edge locations at the scale businesses require. Palette goes beyond mere Kubernetes (K8s) infrastructure. It includes the operating system and application services across virtualized or bare metal data centers, public clouds, and now edge locations.
Adobe announced new capabilities powered by Adobe Sensei, Adobe’s artificial intelligence (AI) engine, that are embedded throughout Adobe Experience Cloud. The new AI capabilities announced include product recommendations, live search results, intelligent budget forecasting and allocation, cross-channel budget optimization, and intelligent content creation and delivery.
Hitachi Vantara introduced new Lumada DataOps capabilities for enterprise customers and Lumada Industrial DataOps, providing advanced analytics capabilities for industrial use cases. These additions allow organizations to create a seamless data fabric governed by an enhanced data catalog to help manage data quality and governance. With the latest updates to Data Integration powered by Pentaho technology, customers can reduce time and complexity to discover, access, prepare, and blend data across multiple data sources and locations.
Rafay Systems announced the expansion of its turnkey solution for operating Kubernetes clusters with GPU support at scale by adding powerful new metrics and dashboards for deeper visibility into GPU health and performance. The Rafay Kubernetes Operations Platform (KOP) now features a fully integrated GPU Resource Dashboard that visualizes critical GPU metrics so developers and operations teams can seamlessly monitor, operate, and improve performance for GPU-based container workloads, all from one unified platform.
Cogniac Corporation (“Cogniac”) and Cisco Meraki announced a strategic partnership to accelerate the delivery of AI-powered computer vision and vision-based real-time analytics applications at the edge of the network. Through the collaboration, the Cisco Meraki cloud-managed networking platform and Meraki MV smart cameras will integrate with the Cogniac AI-powered platform. This will allow businesses to quickly build and deploy powerful machine learning models that use video and image data to observe business-critical events without requiring expert AI resources.
Wind River announced new Wind River Studio Linux Services to further address evolving challenges around security, defects, compliance, and the ongoing management of mission-critical intelligent systems when using community-based open-source software. New Studio Linux Services include security and compliance scanning; security and compliance analysis and remediation; lifecycle security; lifecycle performance assurance; and architecture and implementation.
Quali announced that its Torque platform now supports seamless integration with Helm. Helm Charts allow engineers to define their applications for Kubernetes with all the requisite microservices and networking components – in essence, acting as a package manager for Kubernetes. With native support for Helm Charts in Torque, customers can now provide greater control over Helm usage; better optimize resources by giving people the ability to use containers, no matter their skill level; and create containers on-demand with self-service capabilities that remove the requirement to create and manage charts.
Virtualitics announced the launch of the Virtualitics AI Platform that aims to help enterprises and government agencies make reliable business decisions faster with ready-to-use AI that can be understood–and used–by analysts and business stakeholders alike. To that end, the Virtualitics AI Platform supports the full end-to-end AI workflow and makes it easy for businesses to embed in their operations and take action.
Cloudflare announced the Cloudflare API Gateway, providing businesses a simple, fast, and effective way to protect and control all their APIs (application programming interfaces). Cloudflare API Gateway will simplify the process of identifying, securing, and managing APIs of any protocol on one of the world’s largest and most interconnected networks.
Drift unveiled the Drift Conversation Cloud, bringing together Drift’s three core solutions: Conversational Marketing, Conversational Sales, and its newly launched Conversational Service. The Drift Conversation Cloud empowers organizations to deliver a personalized experience at all stages of the customer journey, in the right place, at the right time, and with the right conversation, by seamlessly integrating sales, marketing, and service.
Rockset announced that it now supports real-time data ingestion from Azure Blob Storage, Azure Event Hubs, and Azure Service Bus. This allows customers to ingest, transform, and analyze real-time data from their Azure data lake or event stream without the need for complex real-time data pipelines. With its library of built-in data connectors for schemaless ingestion from existing event streams, databases, and lakes, Rockset stays in sync with the data source, enabling fast analytics within 1-2 seconds of new data being generated.

NTT Ltd. today announced a collaboration with Schneider Electric to deliver Private 5G (P5G) – an on-premises private network solution and digitization-enabling platform for advanced digital solutions in manufacturing environments. The P5G platform will be piloted at Schneider’s Lexington Smart Factory, the first of Schneider Electric’s U.S. plants to become a Smart Factory showcase site leveraging IoT connectivity, Edge analytics, and predictive analytics to drive energy efficiency and further sustainability goals. The P5G will power key use-cases, including the integration of machine vision capabilities into existing factory and warehouse automation systems to identify faults as well as wear and tear for incident root causes in near real-time.
Promethium announced a partnership with Snowflake to deliver federated query pipelines for the Data Cloud. Promethium’s federated query pipelines can enable Snowflake customers to publish a federated query created in Promethium to Snowflake’s platform with just a few clicks, without writing code or designing complex ETL pipelines. Specifically, Snowflake customers can use Promethium to accelerate data pipelines and move data to Data Cloud without the complexity and long wait times of traditional ETL and data migration in real-time analytics and other applications.
AtScale announced that it has achieved Snowflake Premier Partner Status. As such, AtScale can enable Snowflake customers to build a semantic layer for data and analytics that simplifies and accelerates business intelligence (BI) and data science programs while leveraging the full flexibility and capability of the Snowflake Data Cloud.
Instaclustr announced it has added enterprise support for Karapace, the fully open-source alternative to Confluent’s Kafka Schema Registry and REST proxy. Support for Karapace is immediately available and part of Instaclustr’s comprehensive Apache Kafka support solutions led by dedicated Kafka experts and delivering 24/7 availability.
CyberRes, a Micro Focus line of business, announced the acquisition of Debricked. The addition of the cloud-native software composition analysis platform and AI/ML capabilities further drive CyberRes’ strategy in the future of software resilience and DevSecOps. Debricked capabilities will complement CyberRes’ application security portfolio.
Kyndryl and Cloudera announced a global partnership to help customers with their hybrid cloud, multicloud, and edge computing data initiatives. The two companies will establish a joint innovation center to develop integrated industry solutions to help accelerate the move and migration to a cloud platform, includingAmazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure.
HeadSpin entered into a partnership with Tricentis. Under the partnership, HeadSpin will offer end-to-end continuous testing and AI-led autonomous solutions on Tricentis’ AI-based, scriptless, no code, automation platform, Tricentis Tosca. HeadSpin will provide hosted and on-premises devices for Tosca users to test, debug, collect performance data, and detect build regressions to iterate and meet quality, development, and monitoring goals.
Google Cloud and VMware announced an expanded partnership to help customers accelerate app modernization and cloud transformation. Customers will now be able to use the VMware Cloud Universal program to take advantage of Google Cloud VMware Engine. Through this extended partnership, enterprise customers will have greater financial flexibility, choice, and the ability to accelerate cloud migrations and modernize applications in Google Cloud.
Canvass Analytics (“Canvass AI”) announced the availability of its industrial AI platform in the Microsoft Azure Marketplace. By launching on the Microsoft Azure Marketplace, Canvass AI accelerates the industrial sector’s adoption of AI by providing a no-code AI software solution that puts the power of AI in the hands of industrial engineers without requiring data science expertise.
Zebra Technologies announced it intends to acquire Matrox Imaging. The acquisition expands the portfolio of machine vision products, software, and services Zebra can offer customers. Matrox Imaging’s solutions complement Zebra’s recently launched fixed industrial scanning and machine vision portfolio as well as significantly augment Zebra’s growing expertise in software, machine learning, and deep learning.
SentinelOne announced it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Attivo Networks. With this acquisition, SentinelOne extends its AI-powered prevention, detection, and response capabilities to identity-based threats, setting the standard for XDR and accelerating enterprise zero trust adoption.
