Dremio released the first delivery in the company’s Dart Initiative, which enables customers to run all mission-critical SQL workloads directly on a data lake. Dremio is a service that sits between data lake storage and end users who want to directly query that data for high-performing dashboards and interactive analytics, without the need for copying data into data warehouses and the need for creating aggregation tables, extracts, cubes, and other derivatives. The Dart Initiative also introduces query plan caching, which eliminates planning overhead and latency for repeated queries. Additionally, the Dart Initiative includes a high-performance compiler that enables much larger and more complex SQL statements with reduced resource requirements.
Iterative.ai introduced its first commercial product, called DVC Studio, a visualized UI (user interface) of DVC and CML that simplifies ML model development and enhances collaboration. Data scientists typically use Git and GitHub or GitLab for collaboration on their source code. DVC Studio extends this collaborative functionality based on data and metrics. Iterative integrates ML workflows into current practices for software development instead of creating separate AI platforms. With open tools and formats, Iterative is cloud-agnostic, providing greater flexibility and removing the need and lock-in for proprietary AI Platforms (such as SageMaker and ML Studio).
Kofax announced the latest release of its Intelligent Automation Platform. The new release accelerates deployments by better enabling citizens as well as professional developers, resulting in greater business value and a shorter return on investment (ROI) for customers. Indigo.Design announced the release of its complete design-to-code system. The cloud-based platform addresses key issues that prevent widespread enterprise adoption of low-code applications. Namely, to create mission-critical enterprise apps, low-code apps must prioritize user experience (UX) by beginning the app creation process with user interface (UI) design. Indigo.Design achieves this by bringing together the core components of the app creation process into a low-code tool: UI prototyping and design, app building, virtual user testing, iteration, and finally, code generation.
