In the news this week: integrated IoT bundles that combine connectivity services and application management, a new network service to scale edge deployments, and more.
Keeping pace with news and developments in the real-time analytics market can be a daunting task. We want to help by providing a summary of some of the items our staff came across each week. Here is a short list of some news from this week:
Senet, Inc., a provider of cloud-based software and services platforms that enable global connectivity and on-demand network build-outs for the Internet of Things (IoT), announced an integrated solution and partnership with T-Systems, North America (TSNA), a provider of digital services and integrated solutions for business customers. T-Systems currently offers several solution bundles, including LoRaWAN sensors, gateways, Senet network connectivity plans, and integration with T-Systems’ Cloud of Things IoT platform for application management and expansion. These IoT bundles offer businesses fully integrated solutions that ensure interoperability and ease of deployment.
InsidePacket, a provider of next-generation, edge-networking services, announced its support of Microsoft’s Software for Open Networking in the Cloud (SONiC). SONiC, coupled with InsidePacket’s solution, offers an edge-accelerated platform that addresses performance and scaling issues as data pushes to the edge of the cloud. The SONiC Architecture provides the necessary network infrastructures, switching, and routing operation while InsidePacket’s ipOS solution offers mission-critical edge cloud services. The solution enables 10x to 40x improvements in productivity, performance, cost, and scale compared to current industry-typical appliances.
The Istio development community announced the launch of Istio 1.5, a new version of the open-source service mesh platform Istio, which was developed by a collaboration between IBM, Google, and Lyft. Istio 1.5 introduces the Istiod binary, which makes it easier to install and run Istio by consolidating the control plane components into a single binary. The update also includes a powerful and fast new extension model for proxy servers across the industry, and improvements on usability, security, telemetry, and traffic control.
Blue Prism announced a collaboration with Red Hat designed to drive broad robotic process automation adoption. Using assets developed through this collaboration results in Red Hat Process Automation Manager, a platform for developing containerized microservices and applications, integrating with Blue Prism’s Digital Workforce. This integration lets businesses create and enable next-generation intelligent automation capabilities and solutions.
cnvrg.io announced its advanced MLOps solution will be integrated with the NVIDIA NGC container registry. Through a full, native integration, cnvrg.io will deliver accelerated enterprise artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and data science automated pipelines to enterprise teams in multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud environments. With cnvrg.io’s integration with NGC containers, development teams can seamlessly launch a GPU-optimized NGC container in one click across any on-premises or hybrid-cloud compute.
