New Dash360 functionality includes real-time analytics, visualizations and reports.

Capital markets technology provider Dash Financial Technologies announced new functionality for Dash 360, its web-based platform. The new tools bring real-time analytics, data visualization and reports to enhance transparency and performance.

IN 2018, the company unveiled a new portfolio trading algorithm available — unlike most legacy PT solutions — on a front-end agnostic basis.

Key Features

The new Dash360 functionality provides users with key features including:

  • Realized and unrealized performance tracking
  • Duration and cash management visualizations
  • Industry/market cap/liquidity analytics
  • Venue and routing analysis
  • Corporate action and earnings calendars
  • Detailed TCA reporting and analysis capabilities

Based on feedback from investment professionals, the company identified transparency, performance, and control as the biggest portfolio execution challenges. Its solution addresses those concerns by simplifying and visualizing in real time the amount of data traders consume. Now traders can more easily focus on outliers and other special situations, which allows them to add operational alpha to the execution process.

We have had a phenomenal response from early adopters of this product thus far and are extremely excited for the broader institutional trading community to now use it,” said Jennifer Hubbs, Co-Head of Dash’s Portfolio Trading Solutions Group.

PT Analytics Added to Dash360

PT analytics is the latest addition to Dash360. In late 2018, the company added a new Closing Auction analytic designed to provide insights on historic, predicted and real-time market/auction volumes, and visualizations for execution schedule and cash flow. These insights also include expected fill rates and both single order and basket slippage.

“Recent regulatory changes such as MiFiD II have done a fantastic job of engendering more transparency globally in an industry that has traditionally been fairly opaque. While this is a wonderful development, this creates a tremendous amount of new data at a time when buy side is continually being asked to do more with less,” says David Karat, Chief Creative Officer and Dash360 product lead.

“It is therefore critical that they have the analytics, reporting and visualization tools that allow them to cut through the noise by presenting clear, concise and actionable intelligence. Dash360 is a great platform that allows us to not only express our analytics, but continually and seamlessly innovate to ensure we remain at the forefront of the institutional technology and execution space,” he says.
