Fabric and craft retailer Joann will use ShopperTrak analytics to optimize staffing and improve customer engagement.

Tyco Retail Solutions announced that Joann Stores, its chain of fabric and craft stores, will deploy ShopperTrak in-store analytics in all 870 of their retail outlets. The company will use ShopperTrak to identify traffic patterns and help managers make better scheduling decisions to avoid understaffing.

“Joann stores have become places that inspire creativity and foster a shareable and welcoming experience,” says Chris DiTullio, SVP of Stores & Store Operations at Joann. “The ShopperTrak solution will optimize labor and conversion rates in our stores. Implementing this technology will help ensure team members are available where and when customers need us, to create a supportive and efficient experience. Based on ShopperTrak’s success in other retailer roll-outs, we’re confident this will have a positive impact on our customers’ experience.”

The customer traffic analytics provided by ShopperTrak’s in-store analytics offer the chain store specific data to provide valuable insights for improving customer satisfaction/ experiences, sales, and operational efficiency.

The software can incorporate promotional data, market benchmarks, and other analytics. Stores use the real-time data on customer behavior and needs to improve customer experiences and grow sales. ShopperTrak also offers people counting, conversion, and shopping center analytic solutions.
