Arrow’s eInfochips acquisition will bring together IoT development services and technology products at the firm.
Arrow Electronics, Inc, announced they have agreed to acquire eInfochips, one of the world’s largest design and managed services companies. They work with companies around the world in all phases of tech development including custom hardware and software and IoT-based business models.

The acquisition will allow Arrow to expand their IoT “sensor-to-sunset” platform with the addition of engineering, mobile device connectivity, app development, cloud services, security, solution architecture and big-data analytics.
Arrow wants into IoT markets
“Upon close of this acquisition, eInfochips advances our IoT strategy, expands our offerings, and moves us into the rapidly growing IoT services market. As a result, we will deliver complex and connected IoT solutions and technologies across multiple cloud platforms,” said Michael J. Long, Arrow’s chairman and CEO. “This acquisition adds over 1,500 IoT solution architects, engineers, and software development resources to Arrow’s already leading position in IoT design services.”
eInfochips has 1500 employees and has locations around the world. They offer chip design and product and IoT solution delivery to many industries including consumer, retail, healthcare, aerospace, and industrial automation.
The deal is expected to close later this month.
