Enhancements include automated predictive analytics and real-time visualizations on mobile.

All of SAP’s analytics solutions will now fall under the comapny’s BusinessObjects portfolio going forward, SAP announced May 18 at the Sapphire Now conference.

Improvements to SAP BusinessObjects Cloud include BI enhancements such as new storytelling and visualizations, data wrangling and blending, geospatial, trend analysis, chat and notifications.

BusinessObjects Enterprise has been enhanced with new BI features including a simpler upgrade process, a scalable and open platform that supports over 200 data sources, self-service, and governed data. The platform will also offer automated predictive analytics, including integration with SAP HANA (an in-memory relational database) as well as integration with the SAP Fraud Management app and a new streamlined user interface.

The portfolio’s goal is to provide comprehensive cloud and on-site deployments. This includes SAP Digital Boardroom, which provides industry-specific frameworks for meetings and collaborations as well as business use cases.

“We see value in using SAP BusinessObjects Cloud to provide agile visualization and analytics to our users in sales, finance and procurement,” Richard Dsouza, vice president of IT for Mahindra & Mahindra, said in a press release.

Another new offering is the SAP BusinessObjects Roambi mobile app, which is now available in the United States. It delivers data visualizations in real time to mobile devices, allowing dashboards, reports and analytics to be created on any device at any time.

The company announced that their BusinessObjects Enterprise will be available in three different editions:

SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise, premium: a comprehensive analytics solution including BI, mobile and predictive capabilities plus IoT readiness.

SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise, professional: a BI solution suite with reporting, visualization and discovery functionality.

SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise, standard: an ad-hoc solution that offers insights through the web, desktop and mobile devices.

The new and improved portfolio is available now to all SAP customers.
